Main Street Improvements
As part of an overall downtown main street area improvement plan, the wayfinding system was funded and implemented as the first step in improved visitor access and immediate visual impact. Vehicular directionals guide visitors to several key public parking areas, and primary destinations such as the library, MBTA station, and town hall. The town seal itself was redesigned for clarity and application to signage, while retaining the basic spirit and content of the original. The backs of the larger sign elements have historic images applied to them, adding visual interest to the streetscape.
